Open Letter to Superintendant Weis(el)

Mr Weis,

Im writing you on behalf of my friends and fellow warriors on the Chicago Police Department. While Im not a Chicago Police Officer and wouldn't think of entertaining that thought under your "command",I am concerned for my friends and associates that ARE Chicago Police Officers under your mismanagement.Instead of encouraging good old fashioned police work you are deballing the Chicago Police Department and making it into a mockery and laughing stock.
While I understand that there are fiscal responsibilities,budgets and politics involved in your 300K + a year job, and I further understand that you have to keep Daley happy, what I dont understand nor fathom is how you can purport yourself to be the Chicago Police. You are not. You are a FED that was appointed to your position. You have not hunkered against a wall in a gangway in the 8500 Block of South Exchange under fire,gun in hand silently praying that you and your partner make it out alive, YOU have not kicked in doors in piss filled CHA Hi Rises chasing sex offenders,YOU have NEVER backed up a solo Officer on a burglary in 006.(and will NEVER have the BOND FOR LIFE that action brought) YOU have not EVER ran TOWARDS the trouble to pull out a friend from the fire.YOU have not had the satisfaction of seeing SEVERAL drug dealers indicted based on months of surveillance.YOU have NEVER been the first or 2nd car on scene at an Officer Down call,and you will NEVER know that sinking feeling as YOU are not the CHICAGO POLICE NOR DO YOU REMOTELY EMBODY IT.YOU have not been jumped,disarmed,and chased the offender WITHOUT A WEAPON.You will NEVER understand how with only a look we can tell Warriors and to a lesser degree THOSE WITH BALLS from Weisels.Yet YOU denigrate yourself by wearing the Uniform of the Chicago Police. Unearned. Which is a kick in the balls to those Officers that HAVE earned that RIGHT.
I dont understand how you can expect and demand these fine men and women to work in this toilet of a city and NOT offer them a decent contract. Hence, no contract no work. I support their plight FULLY.
Calls have been made for your RESIGNATION, Mr Weis. Not one or two but MANY calls. You have received a vote of NO CONFIDENCE by the General Membership of the Chicago Police Department,yet you still DISGRACE them by wearing that uniform. I wont touch on the Airheart incident as I have little knowledge of that other than the fact YOU RAN THE OTHER WAY and LEFT A FALLEN OFFICER TO DIE ALONE. The school I come from,that would have cost you a severe ass beating.Insofar as Officer Cozzi is concerned, you OVERKILLED that situation. Where the fuck were you in the Abate case? If any case needed your beady eyed ass to step in and "solve" THAT would have been one of them. And where Sir were you at the Trial of the 3 that defaced the Police Memorial? NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. That action,sir, is yet another slap in the face to the working police and DEMORALIZING.You are supposed to be a leader of men,a person that the Police will RESPECT and FOLLOW and TRUST. You EMBODY NONE OF THOSE QUALITIES.I have been practicing my profession for nearly 25 years Mr Weis and trust when I tell you, I, a lowly Security Guard, can instill more fire, more respect,and achieve more results(INCLUDING CONVICTIONS) in the field than you could on your best day.I am TRUSTED and RESPECTED something you wont ever know on this job.
If I could take your position I would in a heartbeat because not only do I have the respect of the police Ive known over 25 years, I respect them back. You are SUPPOSED to be the Top Cop in Chicago. Instead, I see a weasel. A spineless shell of a "man" dyed and gelled and over educated. It doesnt take an MBA to be the police in Chicago. What it does take is a SPINE, a HEART and a set of BALLS. When you get those, look me up. We'll talk. Until then, Do the Police and the Citizens of Chicago a huge favor and DRAFT YOUR RESIGNATION.
